Varsities ‘expo 2016’ starts in Mombasa

The 14th Kenyan Universities Exhibition is underway at the Flamingo Beach & Spa in Mombasa. The participating institutions spent the better part of Wednesday morning in setting up their stands as members of the public started trooping in to sample what the Kenyan institutions of higher learning have to offer.
The Commission for University (CUE) is organising this expo meant to connect the public with the universities. CUE Chief Executive Officer Prof David Some visited the TU-K stand where he expressed hope the expo will pick up in coming hours. ‘I am really impressed by the TU-K innovations,” said Prof Some during his brief stop at the stand.
The TU-K deputy vice-chancellors Prof Paul Shiundu (Academics, Research and Students), Prof Joseph Kiplangat (Administration, Planning and Infrastructure) and Prof Suki Mwendwa (Technology, Innovation and Partnerships) were present.
