The Vice-Chancellor’s Appointment to Capa Executive Board
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Francis W.O. Aduol, has been appointed to the Executive Board of the Commonwealth Association of Polytechnics in Africa (CAPA) as a regional representative (EAST). The Technical University of Kenya hosts the CAPA secretariat since its established in March 1977. CAPA has a membership of 173 post-secondary educational institutions, comprising polytechnics, technical universities, technical colleges and vocational training institutes in 18 African countries, including Kenya.
The appointment is partly due to the Vice-Chancellor’s immense contribution to the development and implementation of the Technical vocational Education and Training not only in the region and Africa but also to Kenya. The TU-K fraternity extends congratulatory messages to the Vice-Chancellor and believes that he will meet the challenges this position brings in his usual stride.
