Africa Tech Challenge Season 8 Launched

Africa Tech Challenge (ATC) Season 8 was officially launched by Dr. Esther Muoria, PS, State Department for Technical, Vocational Education and Training. This year’s challenge will focus on providing an intensive 4-week training on Mechanical Drawing and Computer Aided Design (CAD) Software Application, and that will culminate in a final competition on 25th August 2023.

Each institution participating in the challenge will be represented by a team consisting of 1 teacher as the team leader and 3 students. The Participants have been drawn from; Kenya, Egypt, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Ghana, Gabon, and Côte d'ivoire.
The university will be represented by one team from The School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering (SMME).  The Chief Guest Dr. Esther Muoria, encouraged the participants to take advantage of the challenge to not only shape their career, but also create innovations that will solve the challenges being experienced in Africa and the world at large. The event has been organised by AVIC International Holding Corporation in partnership with China Education for International Education and Ministry of Education of Kenya

2nd East Africa Regional Workshop on Mastering Research Proposals

The Technical University of Kenya (TUK) in collaboration with Maseno University, the Belmont Forum, the International Science, Technology and Innovation Centre (ISTIC) under the auspices of UNESCO, the National Research Fund, South Africa (NRF-RSA), the National Research Fund, Kenya (NRF-Kenya), the Future Earth Africa Node, the Future Earth Africa Hub Leadership Centre and other partners will hold a 4-day 2nd East Africa Regional Workshop on Mastering Research Proposals: Integrating transdisciplinary approaches for impactful research beginning Saturday May 31, 2025 to Tuesday June 3, 2025.
