

Technical University of Kenya (TU-K) would soon sign an MoU with the Kenya Institute of Supplies Examination Board (KISEB) to engage in professional Certification training and examination. Speaking during a sensitisation and stakeholder engagement meeting between staff from TU-K and KISEB as well as students from the Department of Business and Management Studies (DBMS), Prof. Evans Sagwa explained that the MoU will focus on other areas such as participation of KISEB as external stakeholders, in the development of supply chain management curriculum and curricula activities.
The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering is currently hosting a five-day training themed “Smart SCADA Maintenance Training.” The training is being conducted under a partnership between The Technical TU-K and Universal Technology Associates (UTA). The two institutions signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate in areas such as capacity building, student job placement, and the pursuit of joint research opportunities.
On 4th of March 2026, the Technical University of Kenya played host to Integrated Food Security Phase Classification for Acute Malnutrition (IPC-AMN) delegation led by the Regional Director, Mr. Belihu Negesse. The main agenda of the visit was to sensitise academia on IPC and strengthen recognition and uptake of IPC curriculum. The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (DVC) in charge of Academics and Student Affairs (ASA), Prof. Maurice Amutabi, received the visitors on behalf of the VC, Prof. Benedict Mutua.
The Faculty of Engineering and the Built Environment (FEBE) held a compelling public lecture themed “Choosing Leadership in a City of Theatrics.” The public lecture was delivered by Robyn T. Emerson who is the Executive Director of Yellow Rose Kenya and Founding President (Former) of Women in Real Estate.
Konza Technopolis Development Authority (KoTDA) has donated 30 high-performance computers to the Technical University of Kenya’s Department of Creative Arts and Media (DCAM). The generous donation is part of a Memorandum of Understanding between the two institutions towards skill development, research, environmental conservation and economic growth.
