TU-K To Cooperate with KBC

Staff members from the Department of Journalism and Media Studies who were led by Dr. Joyce Omwoha tour one of the studios at KBC. Staff from Procurement and Supply Chain were also present.

The Technical University of Kenya is set to cooperate with Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) in areas journalism and media training.

KBC has expressed interest in supporting journalism training at TU-K indicating that some of the equipment the University would benefit from would include; retired technology that can be used in demonstrating the evolution of age-old radio and TV broadcasting.

A team of staff members from the Department of Journalism and Media Studies together with members from Procurement and Supply Chain, visited KBC offices in Nairobi to firm-up the collaboration initiative and identify some of the equipment that could be useful to the University.

The TU-K team comprising  Dr. Joyce Omwoha, Mr. Amos Marube, Mr. Dennis Orina, Mr. Daniel Kigaa, Lillian Ngumo, Mr. David Otieno, Mr. Wilberforce Kokonya and Mr. Jackson Moenga were received by Principal Technical Officer Keboi Kabuchwa and Anthony Kabuchwa.

The Broadcaster is currently hosting four students from TU-K who are attending their industrial attachment.
