Prof Micheni Appointed Deputy Principal, Tom Mboya University College

Prof. Elyjoy Muthoni Micheni, has been appointed Deputy Principal Academic, Research and students' Affairs at Tom Mboya University College. Prof. Micheni served as the Director, School of Business and Management Studies for 7years. She officially handed over the School to Prof. Collins Miruka, in a ceremony that was attended by the Executive Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences and Technology Prof. Peter Matu, and other academic & administrative staff from the Faculty.

During Prof. Micheni’s tenure, the School has grown, by increasing the number of Departments, programmes, student population, including PhD enrolment, as well as staff.

To enhance the employability prospects of students, the School has also been holding annually a Students’ SBMS Business Day organized through the Association of Business Students.  This brings together stakeholders from the industry who act as potential employers to the students by providing not only jobs, but also attachment and internship opportunities.
