Orientation Programme Details

Dates: Monday, 28th April 2025 – Monday, 5th May 2025

Our comprehensive Orientation Week is designed to introduce you to key aspects of student life, academic expectations, and the vast resources available at TU-K.

Face-to-Face Orientation

The orientation programme will be conducted in person and will help you:

  • Understand University policies, rules, and procedures.
  • Adapt smoothly to life as a university student.
  • Connect with senior University officials, faculty members, and fellow students.
  • Explore essential campus facilities and student services, including:

Academic Resources

  • Libraries, lecture theatres, laboratories, and the university bookstore.

Student Welfare & Support Services

  • Medical care, counseling, accommodation, catering, and sports facilities.

Social & Extracurricular Activities

  • Clubs, societies, student organizations, and recreational opportunities.

Faculty-Based Orientation

To ensure a tailored introduction to your academic journey, orientation will primarily take place at the faculty level. This will allow you to:

  • Engage with faculty members and academic advisors.
  • Gain a deeper understanding of your programme structure, coursework, and career pathways.
  • Learn about research, internship, and industrial attachment opportunities.

Additionally, all students are invited to attend a special address by the Vice-Chancellor, Deputy Vice-Chancellors, Faculty Deans, and other senior University officials on 5th May 2025 starting 9.30 am.
