TUK Directorate of TVET College
The TU-K Directorate of TVET College is a fully registered Technical and Vocational College under the TVET Act, 2013, Section 20 (1) as of July 2023. This registration marked a critical step toward enhancing the institution’s capacity to deliver quality vocational and technical education.
Alongside the registration, the Directorate was granted training licenses for 48 courses, all at Level 6 (Diploma), underscoring its readiness to offer advanced training programs in various technical fields.

The Directorate has successfully trained TVET trainers and technicians from different Technical Vocational and Training Institutions under the AfDB/GOK project, upgrading craft-level holders to diploma and diploma holders to degree level.
Phase I (2016): We trained 16 university technicians and technologists.
Phase II (2017-2022): We trained and upskilled 129 trainers and technicians to diploma and Bachelor of Technology levels.
Phase III (2021-2024): We trained 29 trainers for various Bachelor of Technology levels
The Directorate managed to secure scholarships for 35 TUK staff for professional development.
2. Capacity Building on CBET
The Directorate managed to trainee 242 faculty and administrators in Competency-Based Education and Training (CBET) in collaboration with TVET-CDACC. We acquired 75 TVETA-CDACC-approved syllabuses for CBET-aligned diploma programs.
3. TVET Accreditation & Student Placement
We are registered as a Technical and Vocational College under the TVET Act, 2013 and we obtained training licenses for 48 Level 6 (Diploma) courses. We are registered with KUCCPS to streamline student admission and increase accessibility.
