Public Lecture on Intelligent Design

Exploratory discussion on ‘Question of Intelligent Design’ during public lecture on design and evolution held at the university with key speakers from BioCosmos - Dr. Casey Luskin, an expert in evolution and law, also Dr. Brian Miller, Research Coordinator from the Center for Science and Culture, Discovery Institute. Other topical areas of discussion included; engineering revolution in Biology, how planet shows evidence of design, thermodynamics, the origin of life and intelligent design among other areas. DVC- Research and Technology Development, Prof. Alfred Orina gave a keynote speech. He was accompanied by Executive Dean, Faculty of Applied Sciences and Technology - Prof. Francis Gatheri, Director, School of Physics and Earth Sciences, Prof. George Amolo, among other senior teaching staff.
 BioCosmos Kenya is founded under the principle of advancing the understanding that human beings and nature are as result of intelligent design rather than undirected processes. Its vision is to disseminate scientific knowledge about the universe and life.

The Technical University of Kenya in partnership with Exploring Visual Cultures will be hosting the 4th International Conference from November 27th to 29th, 2024 at the Edge Convention Centre, Nairobi. The theme of the conference is AI Media Innovations, Applications, Visual Culture, Challenges, and Future Trends.
