Prof. Paul Shiundu appointed Acting Vice Chancellor

Prof. Paul Shiundu has been appointed Acting Vice-Chancellor effective today 16th May 2023. Prof. Shiundu takes over from Prof. Francis Aduol whose second 5-year term ended yesterday 15th May 2023.  Until his appointment, Prof. Shiundu has been Prof. Aduol’s principal deputy serving as the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic and Students Affairs.

In a memo to the University fraternity, the Chairman of the University Council, Dr Idle Farah wrote: “I wish to notify the entire University staff and student fraternity that as of today 15th May 2023, Prof. Aduol will be serving his final day in office after serving the then Kenya Polytechnic, Kenya Polytechnic University College, and the current Technical University of Kenya for a total of over 16 years.”

Dr. Farah praised Prof. Aduol for his achievements and effort in ensuring the University is recognized as an international institution of high repute.

The Technical University of Kenya in partnership with Exploring Visual Cultures will be hosting the 4th International Conference from November 27th to 29th, 2024 at the Edge Convention Centre, Nairobi.
